Reviews of Casa Mare

“Maria was very helpful with local tips, place was clean and secluded and the view was amazing. She was prompt and helpful during the check in process and then left us alone (but quickly answered any inquiry we had). Many steps to the beach but we felt that it balanced the way we were eating :-). He town was charming and everyone we met was helpful including the grocer.”

“Amazing view, very clean and well equipped. The pool, although small, is great for cooling off. Maria is very helpful. Transportation along the Amalfi Coast, particularly in the summer from Praiano, can be difficult as there is no ferry service and the roads and busses are clogged and not very dependable. This a great place just to get away and relax.” “Thanks Maria - we had a good time! The Amalfi Coast is beautiful. You are a good host and we really appreciated your meeting us for check in, even though we arrived very late; very nice of you. Thank you.”

“Maria's place is amazing. You are at the highest point of Praiano and it's gorgeous. There are sheep, horses and goats in the backyard! We enjoyed our stay especially on the terrace. The view is amazing!! We would love to stay there again.”

We loved our time in Praiano at Maria's place. The house was exactly as pictured and beautiful. Amazing view from the terrace. There are lots of stairs to get anywhere but we knew this and it adds to the charm of this seaside town. The apartment could have been a little better stocked with essentials like toilet paper and there was no shampoo or shower soap which most airbnb's seem to have . But that's a minor issue. Maria was very helpful. She met us in town to show us the way and left us very good information about restaurants and other places. Note many of the restaurants will pick you up and take you home at no charge. We met so many wonderful people, especially Aldo at La Moressa. Be sure to eat there! The same family also owns Windsurf Praiano at the marina, best prices for water taxis to Positano and other excursions. A final note, Praiano is the best place to stay on the Amalfi coast. It is smaller and less touristy than Positano which we visited and is wonderful but not as quaint. Can't wait to return! Tom”
