Beauty is difficult to define and it leaves the beholder speechless and breathless. It may be for this reason that the guests at Villa Benedetta write few words in the guest book.
For many of them it is simply the ‘most beautiful house on the Amalfi Coast'. For others it is ‘ a piece of paradise' or simply ‘ paradise ‘ This is not difficult to understand and we proudly represent it as an authentic jewel of local architecture.
Constructed during the golden age of architecture on the Amalfi Coast, Villa Benedetta was for many years the retreat of two classic Italian ladies; two sisters , dedicated to art and culture, who gave birth to a family refuge perched far away from any confusion, every intrusion, every banality and vulgarity of the world.
It is harmoniously set into the rock, facing and overhanging the sea. Villa Benedetta is the ideal residence for whoever wants to rediscover the pleasures and the tastes of the good life.
Surrounded by nature with dream-like glimpses from every window, Villa Benedetta is the perfect house for staying together and sharing precious moments of intimacy with loved ones.
There are no neighbours to disturb, no noise from the world to upset the peaceful quiet of the breezes off the sea, the light of the sky and the perfume of the flowers.
There are many little angles ideal for eating, reading, napping, chatting, being together, hand-holding and getting back in touch. Terraces, sunning spots, little oases of centuries-old Mediterranean brush and a splendid barbecue area complete the exterior of this home that is completely enveloped in the panorama of one of the most fascinating corners of the Gulf of Salerno.
The interior of the home, with a fully- equipped kitchen, 2 bathrooms , living room and 4 bedrooms is comfortable, elegant and rich in style details.
The furnishings are contemporary and the home has all modern comforts including internet service. The beach is directly under the villa and there you will find one of the most beautiful fishing villages on the Amalfi Coast with a little church, bars, wonderful restaurants all scattered here and there along romantic little lanes.
The SITA bus stop which connects to Amalfi and Sorrento and the ‘orange' bus which connects with the centre of Praiano and Positano is a mere 60 steps below the villa.
During the summer season there is boat service for Capri and Ischia and the possibility of private boat rental on the beach.

19 – 25 June 2011 What un unforgettable place to bring mu husband to, as a “surprise” 60th Birthday celebration!! The memories we will all take back to “rainy, grey” Manchester will be cherished forever. This “little piece of Paradise” is really something special, views alone are just breathtaking – not to mention the excellent facilities down on the bay – we agree with all former occupants!! Would be difficult to choose a favorite restaurant and the hospitality we have been showered with is exceptional!! We have previously spent many holidays and work trips in other area of Italy and never been disappointed but Villa Benedetta + Furore/Marina di Praia is definitely “top of the list”. Thank you so much to Maria who was so helpful and lovely – bless you for the “Prosecco” on Alan “BIG DAY” – you are very sweet GRAZIE MILLE Special thanks to Luca for his extra service with our groceries + Giovanni’s taxi’s Too many highlights to mention – Boat trips are the best – great fun on the water taxi – a truly amazing experience. – will be back. 14th – 28th May, 2011 What an amazing time we have had at Villa Benedetta! From the moment we met her, Maria has felt like a special friend. She had everything at the villa prepared perfectly and her advice, help and suggestions have been wonderful We feel like part of the community in Marina di Praia – we walk down to be greeted warmly by the locals. We fell in love with Salvatore, Mama and the rest of the family at bar Mare petit restaurant. After our first meal there we ate there every night – the food is incredible buono even more wonderful is the way they make you feel like a special family member. Mama’s lemon cake has been the highlight of my culinary experiences in Europe. We have explored the local area but every day we are excited to be returning to the villa. Raffaele and the staff at La Boa were extremely helpful and we had an excellent trip to Capri with them. This has been a wonderful experience – the villa, the locals, Maria, the water, the boats, the food, the sun, the relaxed atmosphere….. even the steps up aren’t a problem when you know what awaits for you at the top. Thank you for allowing us to finish our trip in this amazing villa. May 6th 2011 Villa Benedetta was everything we expected and more!! Even the rainy days were enjoyable from the Villa. Maria you are wonderful and made us feel at home by showing us the people and places in Praiano. Thank you!! Angelo in the Praiano Beach tour shop was very nice, if you are planning on taking a tour to Capri, Angelo and crew are the best. The brothers at the Grocery Tutto x tutti were very accommodating and helpful. All their food is very fresh!!
