Information about the villa

Beauty is difficult to define and it leaves the beholder speechless and breathless. It may be for this reason that the guests at Villa Benedetta write few words in the guest book.

For many of them it is simply the ‘most beautiful house on the Amalfi Coast'. For others it is ‘ a piece of paradise' or simply ‘ paradise ‘ This is not difficult to understand and we proudly represent it as an authentic jewel of local architecture.

Constructed during the golden age of architecture on the Amalfi Coast, Villa Benedetta was for many years the retreat of two classic Italian ladies; two sisters , dedicated to art and culture, who gave birth to a family refuge perched far away from any confusion, every intrusion, every banality and vulgarity of the world.

It is harmoniously set into the rock, facing and overhanging the sea. Villa Benedetta is the ideal residence for whoever wants to rediscover the pleasures and the tastes of the good life.

Surrounded by nature with dream-like glimpses from every window, Villa Benedetta is the perfect house for staying together and sharing precious moments of intimacy with loved ones.

There are no neighbours to disturb, no noise from the world to upset the peaceful quiet of the breezes off the sea, the light of the sky and the perfume of the flowers.

There are many little angles ideal for eating, reading, napping, chatting, being together, hand-holding and getting back in touch. Terraces, sunning spots, little oases of centuries-old Mediterranean brush and a splendid barbecue area complete the exterior of this home that is completely enveloped in the panorama of one of the most fascinating corners of the Gulf of Salerno.

The interior of the home, with a fully- equipped kitchen, 2 bathrooms , living room and 4 bedrooms is comfortable, elegant and rich in style details.

The furnishings are contemporary and the home has all modern comforts including internet service. The beach is directly under the villa and there you will find one of the most beautiful fishing villages on the Amalfi Coast with a little church, bars, wonderful restaurants all scattered here and there along romantic little lanes.

The SITA bus stop which connects to Amalfi and Sorrento and the ‘orange' bus which connects with the centre of Praiano and Positano is a mere 60 steps below the villa.

During the summer season there is boat service for Capri and Ischia and the possibility of private boat rental on the beach.

Amazing location! Maria was helpful in guiding us to great local restaurants and bus service. Easy to get around, or not get around as Praia was a delightful little town. Photos cannot describe the beauty!

Wow...the views from Villa Benedetta were spectacular. My wife and I visited the Amalfi Coast with my wife's cousin and her husband and we had a wonderful experience. We spent many hours on the deck and loved the fact that we could open the windows to enjoy the beautiful views from every room in the villa. Other posts have mentioned the steps up to the villa, so I want to provide a little more detail. There are 76 steps to climb up and down from the villa, but that is a small price to pay to enjoy the views and they offer a phenomenal view every step of the way. Maria met us at the villa and even waited for us after we experienced delays at the airport. She took the time to help us with our luggage, show us around the villa and provided us with a list of local restaurants and markets that provided free shuttle services throughout our stay. She also helped us secure a parking spot along the road, but if that makes you uncomfortable, Umberto owns the parking lot down at the beach and will work with you during your stay. I hesitate to share this review, as I would like to keep Villa Benedetta all to myself!

First of all, the view is superb! I cannot emphasis enough on how great the view is. It is THE most beautiful coastline I have ever seen. The view comes with a problem which is the stairway up from the road to the house. It was quite a journey for us, since we had a lot of luggages. Totally worth it though. The house itself is spectacular. Nice rooms, nice kitchen. Everything is well maintained. Maria was a great host, helpful and accessible. I would definitely recommend this house to everyone, and would like to stay here again in the future.

房间对海,房间很大,漂亮,适合一家人出游。就是位置有点小偏,不过如果只是和家人或许朋友一起来度假,或许是驱车前往的话,很不错的选择~~推荐~

I don't know how I could possibly add to the reviews already posted, or add words to photos that speak for themselves. I simply regret that my friends traveling with me and I hadn't booked Maria's home for more days. An absolutely perfect idyllic experience on the Amalfi Coast region. Maria was ill the day we arrived, but still met us along the highway when we arrived with our Taxi and helped us up into the house. Super brief run-through of options and amenities then she left to return home to rest...while my friend and I tried to catch out breath from the savage beauty of where we were. We made the best use possible of 24 hours; sunbathing, cooking, swimming, enjoying the restaurants below, a taxi into Positano for evening drinks, and really just reveling in the quietness this home offers. Maria was more than generous offering us a ample late check-out, which was so gracious and appreciated giving us a little more time to take it all in. When our driver arrived to take us back to Naples, it was as simple as leaving the keys in the door, and locking up, and sending Maria a (Whatsapp) message to let her know we had left. This was the final stop of a 8 day 3-city tour of Southern Italy. So perfect. I hope to return soon! Thank you so much Maria
