The pictures of this listing do not do it justice. This home is located only a few steps of the main road and as you enter it opens up to a breath taking views, huge terrace that overlooks Positano and Mediterranean, which my husband and I spent most of the days enjoying and not wanting to leave. It is about 10 min walk from the beach of Positano and is surrounded by the restaurants just a few minutes away such as Next2 and Da Vincenzo, which we highly recommend. One of the great surprises was that the host, Mr. Baldassarre, is a well known Chef and Sommelier and offers up his services if you like. One night we decided to take him up on the offer and we had the most unforgettable night on the terrace of his home as he presented his cuisine for our consumption. I would highly recommend you let Mr. Baldassarre share his love of food with you if he has the time, since he is always busy with doing cooking demonstrations and wine tasting presentations around town and elsewhere in Amalfi Coast. If this place is available when you are visiting Positano, make sure that you book it, since it's central location and ambiance cannot be beaten by any other home or listing.

Nuestra experiencia en Villa Positano fue muy agradable. En todo momento nos sentimos muy cómodos. Los anfitriones nos recibieron como habíamos quedado y nos dieron todas las indicaciones para pasar una estadía perfecta. Nos recomendaron un mercado donde hacer las compras y que te llevan el pedido a domicilio, y nos recomendaron paseos, medios de transporte y hasta lugares para ir a cenar. La casa es muy amplia y cómoda. Está perfectamente presentada, limpia y confortable. Realmente nada que reprochar. Muy recomendable para quienes viajan en grupo.

Maria's property was great! They were prompt and responsive. Checkin and checkout was very smooth and the villa was excellent. We also enjoyed the location. There are quite a few steps on the way there so if you are elderly or injured you may want a different villa in this area. With that being said they do have a lift for baggage which is very helpful. Overall very satisfied.

Maria was there to meet us when our car from Naples station drew up in Praiano and showed us the way to our villa, even helping to carry our bags. She was charming, friendly and very welcoming. Maria showed us around the villa and gave us helpful tips about restaurants and shops and places not to miss. I felt she was very genuine. When we left the villa to come home, Maria met with us, and took us down to our waiting taxi - she had spoken to them to make our departure as worry--free as possible. Maria is an exceptional host. Before our stay Maria communicated well and very quickly responded to any of my questions.

María fue una excelente anfitriona. Se preocupó por enviarnos información antes y en el momento de la llegada tomarse el tiempo necesario para mostrarnos la casa y explicarnos en detalle alternativas de cosas para hacer en el sector, restaurantes, playas, lugares donde comprar, etc. La casa tenía una magnifica terraza, amplia y con una vista inmejorable, que disfrutamos mucho. La cocina era cómoda y bien equipada. La casa tendía una habitación en suite, y la otra no tenía baño incluido, ya que el segundo baño estaba conectado con la cocina, lo que puede ser un inconveniente para algunas personas. El segundo baño, tal como aparece en las fotos, tiene una vista increíble y es muy amplio, pero podría mejorarse si tuviera un lugar donde poner la ducha, ya que hay que afirmarla con la manos para ducharse y no tiene cortina, con lo que es difícil no mojar afuera al ducharse. Las habitaciones eran espaciosas, las camas eran cómodas. El lugar es tranquilo y de gente amigable, cerca de dos mini-markets que cuentan con lo necesario. Al igual que cualquier lugar de Praiano y en general de la Costa Amalfitana, hay que estar preparado para hacer ejercicio subiendo y bajando escaleras desde la playa y los restaurantes hasta la casa. Almorzamos dos veces en "Il Pirata", una muy buena recomendación de María.

Praiano and Villa Maria were both beyond our expectations! Such a beautiful place! Pictures just cannot do justice. Everyone was so helpful from the moment we booked throughout our stay and until the moment we left. She went out of her way to help us--even when we were delayed from the difficult drive. Really helpful recommendations that were very well-informed and connected. This is absolutely at the top of our top 3 places, people and experiences for our entire time in Italy. We will definitely be back!
