Reviews of Villa la Tranquillita
Fantastic views. Praiano is a sleepy town not far from Positano but away from all the tourists. Local artisans have sprinkled the steps on the way to the beach with great little hidden art moments. Definitely worth taking the steps down (but the bus back up). Be sure to visit Paulo Sandulli in his watchtower studio - incredible. Maria was fantastic to share all the little hidden secrets of the town. Our favorite is that the local grocery Tutti x Tutto will pick you up to shop and then return you home. You'll want to stay in and cook and dine from the outdoor dining table that overlooks the water. The house was clean and as described. The pool was awesome to be able to cool off in after a long day exploring. There were mosquitos - just be prepared and bring bug spray. Stay here if you love great views and seclusion.
“Maria's place was amazing!! The view was absolutely breathtaking from every window. The house was very clean and had everything we needed. Great location close to the bus stops. Thanks Maria for an unforgettable experience!”
“The place was perfect for our stay in Praiano. It’s a little bit out of the way (think top of the hill), but that’s what we wanted. We were able to relax and spend time on the awesome pool deck and patio. Easy to get down the hill to good restaurants and grocery stores. Recommend taking the time to learn the local bus route as it was very reliable and got us home quickly. Overall a great experience!”
“Beautiful overlook of the water and the coastline--perfect for an end of day glass of wine. The pool was a nice way to cool off after the hike around Praiano.”
The villa is extremely clean, with a great pool area and terrace! Despite the steps from the main town, the view is definitely worth it and we had some lovely meals in the nearby restaurants, many of which provided a free shuttle back to the villa. Maria is a great host who answered emails promptly and met us on arrival. Overall, a great way to experience the beautiful Amalfi Coast!”
