We loved where it was located.. close to all relevant sight seeing. Very clean accommodations were sufficient and the view was beautiful.”

“Had a great stay in Praiano. Maria and Antonino were excellent hosts offering lots of information for local restaurants and things to do. The steps up are well worth the excellent views overlooking Praiano and Positano. ” Praiano May 3. Best wish.

A beautiful property. Perched above the charming town of Praiano, this may be the highest house in town. The view is absolutely spectacular! Be aware there is a small price to pay for that amazing view. It is roughly 300 steps from the road below. (Not recommended for anyone with mobility issues). All of Praiano, and any town on the Amalfi Coast is a maze of stairs and alley ways, so navigating and getting anywhere can be a bit of a challenge without GPS or a good sense of direction. All of that aside, the home and grounds were beautiful and extremely well maintained. Rose bushes, lemon trees, flowers and a small vegetable garden were found on the three tiered land of the property. There is a large first floor patio with lounge chairs, dining table, large umbrellas for shade, a charcoal grill, and an outdoor fireplace. This was the perfect spot for relaxing and taking in the coastal view and happenings within the town below. On the second floor there was another patio connecting the two bedrooms with chairs. The interior of the home was immaculate. The first floor consists of a living room with fireplace and TV, dining room with seating for six, a fully stocked kitchen with all necessary appliances and utensils and a first floor bathroom with adjoining laundry. The second floor housed the two bedrooms, one with a queen and one with two twin beds and the second bathroom. You will find air conditioner units in both bedrooms as well as the living room. We booked with Maria, who kept us informed from prebooking to checkout and was available for any questions. On arrival, we met with Antonio who speaks both English and Italian and was extremely kind and helpful, offering to carry up our luggage and find us parking for our vehicle. He explained a few details about the property and recomended ways to get around town as well as places to eat and shop, leaving his phone number should we have any needs or questions.. Upon checkout, we called Antonio and were met at the door to return the keys and for him to assist again with our luggage. His lovely mother who I believe cleans the property also greeted us with a smile and a few pastries as we passed on the stairs down to the road. Very kind.

“We had a great stay at Maria's place. Easy to find and very helpful check-in and check-out assistance. Lovely view and exactly as the same as it appears in the pictures. Would recommend to others looking to stay in the area.

“It was really a pleasure to stay at this place. Everything was really clean and snacks and some drinks were included. Directly in front of the house is a bus stop. It cost 1,70€ to Positano centre and the journey needs just a couple of minutes. Also the communication and the service was very very good. Big complement to Rosa, the manager. From the kitchen there is a wonderful view to the ocean and also from the beautiful terrace with the whirlpool. For sure we will book it again if we are a group with around 10 people. Thank you”

Maria's place was fantastic and picturesque. She is a professional host and offers great communication over email and text. The only area for improvement would be the apartments one standing shower being better. Thank you!”

Maria was lovely to work with. She replied quickly to emails, and was waiting for us upon our arrival to Praiano. The description & photos are very accurate. The view is gorgeous (you can see Positano in the distance), and the villa is very clean. Beautiful sunsets in Praiano! Everything worked properly - decent showers & water pressure with hot water. We were there late May, so we didn't really need A/C. Our downstairs bedroom did not have an A/C unit in it, although the upstairs bedrooms did, but we were very comfortable. (There was an A/C unit downstairs in the living area, next to our bedroom). The downstairs bedroom only has curtains for privacy, not doors. We had 7 people in our group, and the villa was plenty spacious. Our bed was comfortable, but our daughters didn't find theirs as comfortable. (Although my husband & I like a firm bed). Our private car service dropped us off near a church/restaurant where Maria met us to lead us to the villa. It's quite a walk to the villa down many, many steps - which we were prepared for by reading the reviews - and packed light suitcases. Do not underestimate this part of the experience! You need to be in decent shape to navigate the steps. We were 7 adults in our group so each person could carry their own load. As far as Praiano, we stayed there because I could not find lodging for 7 people (within our budget & time frame) in Positano. Praiano is very quaint and feels more "authentic". At dinner at the restaurant above our villa we could hear children playing and the church bells ringing - all while taking in the beautiful sunset overlooking Positano. We spent our days in Positano, though, as there's so much more there to do & see. The bus ran only once an hour (not sure if it runs more frequently during the high season). It's about a 15 minute ride. When we missed the bus, we took a taxi - $30 for the 15 minute trip! We made sure not to miss the bus again! We took a semi-private boat tour to Capri for the day, and they picked us up in Praiano. We were only there 3 days, so we didn't get to experience hiking The Path of the Gods, or venture down the coast toward Amalfi & Ravello (which would be advantageous from a Praiano location). Loved the Amalfi Coast! Ciao!”
