Constructed during the golden age of architecture on the Amalfi Coast, Villa Benedetta was for many years the retreat of two classic Italian ladies; two sisters , dedicated to art and culture, who gave birth to a family refuge perched far away from any confusion, every intrusion, every banality and vulgarity of the world.
It is harmoniously set into the rock, facing and overhanging the sea. Villa Benedetta is the ideal residence for whoever wants to rediscover the pleasures and the tastes of the good life.
Surrounded by nature with dream-like glimpses from every window, Villa Benedetta is the perfect house for staying together and sharing precious moments of intimacy with loved ones.
There are no neighbours to disturb, no noise from the world to upset the peaceful quiet of the breezes off the sea, the light of the sky and the perfume of the flowers.
There are many little angles ideal for eating, reading, napping, chatting, being together, hand-holding and getting back in touch. Terraces, sunning spots, little oases of centuries-old Mediterranean brush and a splendid barbecue area complete the exterior of this home that is completely enveloped in the panorama of one of the most fascinating corners of the Gulf of Salerno.
The interior of the home, with a fully- equipped kitchen, 2 bathrooms , living room and 4 bedrooms is comfortable, elegant and rich in style details.
The furnishings are contemporary and the home has all modern comforts including internet service. The beach is directly under the villa and there you will find one of the most beautiful fishing villages on the Amalfi Coast with a little church, bars, wonderful restaurants all scattered here and there along romantic little lanes.
The SITA bus stop which connects to Amalfi and Sorrento and the ‘orange' bus which connects with the centre of Praiano and Positano is a mere 60 steps below the villa.
During the summer season there is boat service for Capri and Ischia and the possibility of private boat rental on the beach.

Villa Benedetta exceeded all expectations! The photo views on the listing do not do this villa justice - the views are breathtaking and something that one must visit to experience. Maria was a fantastic host helping us to book transit from Naples to Praiano, as well as providing contact details to organize a private chef on the date of our arrival (highly, highly recommend Chef Balda - multiple courses of local Amalfi Coast cuisine with not one bad dish!). We originally had only booked two nights, but loved our stay so much that we extended an additional night! The Amalfi Coast has so much to offer on land and sea, so do not hesitate in booking Villa Benedetta!
Beautiful villa with few steps to street level where there is a bus stop. We did not find them difficult. The marina is easily accessible and offers 3-4 restaurants as well as water taxi services and many boat rentals.
This place is a dream, mostly due to a very special location. People mention the stairs- they were my favorite part of the house, elegantly wrapping the cliffside on which the house is perfectly perched. You are on the edge of Praiano with this one, but you have Donna Clelia in the cove below which took great care of us and was a delight. Costa Diva opened on our last day in the house - very, very nice. We had hot water go out one day - Maria replied immediately and had someone come repair it within one hour. We requested groceries and they were waiting for us upon arrival. I truly miss this house and would love to return in future.
We loved staying at this house. The location is like no other: alone on a Clift over the marina si Praiano beach. The views from the house are breathtaking and we never tired of them. The A/C was great for those warm nights. Maria who checked us in was amazing! She took us grocery shopping the first day and explained how to get around. All her recommendations were great. She was so welcoming and warm and really made a positive impact on our vacation. Highly recommend this house!
“A very special trip with friends on the Amalfi coast. This villa was a HUGE part of it! Location location location! Deserves 10 stars out of 5. Breathtaking day and night. And Praiano is the perfect mix of dolce vita and amenities without the hordes. The space comfortably fit our group (8 ppl). We enjoyed a home cooked dinner from Mr Baldo (suggested) the first night to celebrate our friends’ engagement...pricey but worth it! There are also a few restaurants and the grocery store in town that offer pick up and drop off at no extra cost. Wonderful! We didn’t need a car the whole trip! Maria is lovely. Quick communications and very welcoming.”
