In this house, with architectural details of great value, Bernardo Lama, one of the most famous sacred fresco painters of the 1700s, lived and worked for many years. It is located in the old centre of the town of Praiano, close to the principle church of Saint Luke Evangelist which still conserves the splendid works that Lama painted and frescoed. Villa Amanda still retains the atmosphere and feeling which was necessary for the creative genius of its famous resident. The villa is immersed in green and overlooks scenery of extraordinary beauty. The historical centre of town with its little paths and stairways surrounds the residence and there is a grocery shop and a bus stop which connects with the beach and the commercial centre of Praiano ; it is also possible to reach everything on foot.
